Building a small stopcock enclosure.

I need to build a small enclosure in the hallway, for a stopcock that controls the mains supply to some flats in a converted house. Is it best to use WBP plyboard? If so, what gauge? Is it preferable to incorporate a little hinged door or simple have a removable panel held in place with magnets?

Any advice much appreciated.

18mm mdf will paint up nice and fit access panel with keku clips.
