building close to a sewer manhole

hi need a bit of help ,about to have a connie built my builder will be bridging the sewer which runs along the back of my house i am a bit worried because
the wall will be very close to my manhole approx 9".does anybody know
if there is a certain distance you have to be away from the mahole before you can build.

If it's a public sewer, you have to be 3m away from the centreline, otherwise you will require a wayleave from your local water company.

You can build closer, but it depends on your proposals for foundations and the intended way of constructing them, which you will need to submit for their approval.

On the other hand, if it's a conny that doesn't require Building Regs or planning permission, who's to know...

And if it's not a public sewer, you can do what you want.
