Hello.

Our house had a downstairs toilet at some point in the past.
A small cloakrooom had been created by stealing a corner of the kitchen, with the cloakroom door off the hallway.
The toilet was removed, the soil stack was capped, and the internal toilet wall was pulled down before we bought the house.
We would like to reinstate a toilet downstairs. Does anyone know if Building Control need to be notified?

Ideally we'd like the new toilet to be in a small cloakroom off the utility area, just off the kitchen.

Thanks in advance.

Give your local Building Control dept. a call + ask them to be 100%.

But if the soil pipe is still there + has been capped off.......make sure it's still working etc + just get on with it tbh.
