Had a new full system fited about 6 weeks ago now by a well known company, should I have received conformation from the council that it has been registered with building control?
When I had a new consumer unit fitted before I received a letter to that effect. Should it be the same for the heating?

Yes you should receive a letter (through Gas Safe) confirming that the boiler installation has been notified to building control.

The max time it seems to take lately is 4 weeks, more often than not it's within the week of notification
