New build house 2019.

Heating works fine via the app but hot water can only be controlled via unit next to HW tank manually or set schedule.

I've opened the receiver unit and there is no wiring to the hot water (D&E) however the HW light comes on when the HW is on via the schedule so something is telling the unit the HW is on.

The photo shows a brown loop between L and A.

Any easy solution to get the HW controlled via the app or should I contact a plumber / electrician?

thanks

It would help if you explained your setup. What boiler do you have? How many motorised valves? I have fitted a thermostat and receiver, and it clicks the hot water on, but doesn’t do anything as: a) it’s not wired up that way and b) it’s a Combi boiler.

Apologies for not providing enough info.

So it’s just looks like they've used the esi for controlling the hot water and the Honeywell for heating only. If the Honeywell receiver is close to the esi programmer, then you should be able to get the wiring changed.

it's not close unfortunately, receiver is in hallway downstairs and programmer is upstairs next to HW tank

Other option might be to change it for the esi and do away with Honeywell receiver in hallway.

oh right so swap this next to HW tank:

with this in hallway:

Depends how the esi is wired up, you might be able to swap it altogether.

Move the receiver where the cylinder is. What could be easier ???

Can anyone advise if it's possible (easy) to add the hot water control to this setup? Heating works ok but the HW doesn't appear to be connected?
