Hi, I'm looking to replace an acl/drayton LP241 with a Honeywell t6r-hw. It's an Ideal classic ff250 on a s-plan system I think (vented hot water cylinder and 2 motorised valves). The existing programmer wiring is like this:

Looking at the wiring diagram on the t6r-hw instructions should it be wired:

Neutral from old to N on new
Live from old to L on new
1 from old to E on new
3 from old to D on new
4 from old to B on new
Link L to A on new

Sorry for the sideways image!

Is this correct? Thanks in advance, parpat.

Hello Parpat,

I think you need a link from L-A-D, I’m not 100% on the rest as it appears there might be internal switching off, so I think it might be

Link L - A - D
3 from old to E on new
4 from old to B on new

I’m sure I’ll be corrected if it’s wrong, usually @stem or @ianmcd as they’re more experienced than me.

The Novice is right.

A and D are common and so need to be linked to L to provide 230V switching. I do not think the T6R-HW is internally linked looking at the manual.

Taken from Honeywell’s wiring app, it states A&D to be linked internally

Thanks again for your help.

Parpat.

Have installed and seems to be working. On the receiver box, only one of the 2 LEDs are lit. I haven't connected to wifi yet. Should both be lit in current state or once it's connected to wifi?
