building inspectors wants

I had the building inspector out to tell me what my ex builder had done wrong yesterday and there was a rather large list

one thing on it I cant remeber what he called was something to do with where the windows are. at the moment is has not been plaster boarded out and you can see the insulation in the cavity next to the window he asked me to put something on there before I plaster board

Can anyone tell me what it is please

He also asked me to seal the gap between my new windows and the wall. The windo company have made the window too small and there is a large gap, what should I use?
