Hi all,
I'm planning a lean to shed on the side of my house and considering how I make it watertight.

Along the roof line do I need lead? Does that mean stripping out a line of mortar to feed the lead into? Is there an easier way?
Alone the wall joins with the house exterior brickwork how do I seal the gaps?

Ta!

A lead flashing chased into the brickwork would obviously be best, but roofing felt can also be used but its lifespan is limited...maybe you could consider cutting a slot with an angle grinder and stone cutting disc? The slot doesn't need to be too deep.
Its possible to fix a timber lath onto the wall and use that as a guide.
As for the vertical timbers, sealing them to the brickwork with quality silicone is fine.
John :)
