What are the regs around kitchens and escape routes? Say I have a small kitchen which has one internal door and one external door, but I want to remove one wall and so create a larger kitchen dining area. The other room has an external access to a conservatory. I'd like to block off the kitchen external door, leave the internal door where it is in the kitchen. Does this break any regs? The kitchen still has an outside door as before, just not in the same location.....

It sounds OK, a sketch showing before and after would clarify things for certain though cos your post isn't particularly clear.

After much consideration, replacing external door with window wouldn't work. We keep the bins outside the kitchen and it wouldn't be practical for rubbish etc. Instead, since the kitchen is 2.5m wide, creating a galley style kitchen would work better than a narrow U shape. By removing one of the kitchen walls through to the dining area, would create a full width kitchen/diner area with access to the conservatory and access to living room.
