Building regs RE: kitchen to bathroom distance

Hi there,

With regards to meeting building regs:
Just wondered if anyone can tell us if there is a minimum required distance between a kitchen and a bathroom (in this case, in a garage conversion)?

No minimum distance just hot & cold water needed in the sink. (G1 Building Regs) Also 2 door rule no longer applies

Oops just to avoid confusion, thats hot and cold to a sink in the toilet!

..... unless there is a sink in the room immediately outside the toilet

you're not washing your pee drenched hands in my kitchen sink.. and I've told you to stop trying to use 3 fingers to hold it.. 2 is more than enough for you..

They mean a hand-rinse basin and you can supply the hot from a small electric heater nearby if necessary

It was the two door rule that concerned me so it's great to know we won't need to worry about that!

And having seen the state my boys end up in - they're going nowhere near my kitchen sink!
