building up floor/ground for new extension

Rear single storey extension of approx. 80m2
From the current property floor when extending into the garden there is a drop of approx. 0.8m which would need to be levelled off to run with the current floor.

What would be the best method for a floor type here?
Would the 0.8m need to be filled up with soil to the appropriate amount?
Beam & Block?
