bulbs blowing

hi all,
just a quick one, ive been in my house for just over a year and have been through at least 40 bulbs from all over the house, the house is only 3 years old and all the bulbs blow on flicking the switch on, any ideas as to what this could be...???

If you have a multimeter you could check that you don't have an unusually high supply voltage - it does vary a little in the UK and anything over the average of about 238v will shorten the life of your bulbs. Of course, if it's significantly higher (unusual) you should contact your REC.

Also, cheap bulbs are a false economy - you should buy Philips or Osram.
