Bungs question.

sounds like a wierd setup. basically im assuming your system is fully pumped.due to the fact when you dont want heating the 2 port closes.but hot water is still being pumped without any controls except boiler stat.sounds like an old gravity conversion gone wrong.id put the second zone valve(now s plan) after the vent and feed. otherwise problems.

Interesting link, whoever designed it got the pump in the wrong place :rolleyes:

If you have gravity primaries, you can't stick a valve on the flow, the return is ok if you follow the Honeywell plan.
