Hi, have problem with my Hoover VHD8412.

Programme selector wasn't working so found the main PCB burned out. I then traced the wire on the PCB that seemed to be causing the problem, and found that it runs down to the connector block on the motor where it is badly burned out. My question is, is it likely that the motor is the cause of the short, or should it be ok?

The machine is just over a year old, and so far i'm looking at changing the PCB module (£75), and the wiring harness (£120) ! I think I'd be better binning it and buying a new machine!

So do any of you lads have any idea what may have caused the problem?

Thanks for your help,

Gary

it is still under warranty if you purchased it new.
All goods have a mandatory 2 year warranty under EU law, take it back or get them out if its a big item.

Haa, just checked receipt and it's actually JUST over two years old!!! Arghh. So do you think it's worth repairing, or chucking?

Thanks,

Gary
