He tested the photo-cell with his multi-meter and it was OK WDIK. High resistance in the dark and "fairly" low in the light. So the control box looks favourite.

What's the latest then Arthur! what control box have you fitted?
Hi all, well my new controller aTF832.3 and new magic eye from HPS arrived,(£71.38 inc postage of £5 is fitted and all is well with the world. Thanks for all your help.

And as for you Agile I hope your balls turn square and fester at the corners because the only known cure is to soak them overnight in 35sec oil
