Hi - maybe a long shot as this is a quite specialised fuse, but I recently purchased one of these which failed and I suspect it is not the genuine article. I understand that the time delay feature (which allows for higher initial current) is enabled via a spring loaded contact soldered to the fuse (which buys a few seconds at high amps, ie until the solder melts). I cut open the fuse and I can see no evidence of such a mechanism. Does anyone have experience with these and can confirm what the inside should look like?

thanks

Jard

I always thought there was at least 2 types of Hrc fuses
gG being a standard fuse and gM being motor rated.
No idea whats inside ceramic ones , but with Glass fuses the Element is usually fatter and sometimes like a spring
