Buy a scaffold tower, or buy some proper scaffolding?

Tower up each side or put braces only on one side so the tower wraps the extension/bay until you get above roof level, then you can revert to bracing front and back

You do get proper brackets for having staging between 2 ladders. Always looks dodgy but if the ladders are secured, should be safe
