Hi all,

Im in the process of looking for a new suite. The room is getting gutted and re done.

Ive only had a quick look in B&Q and Bath Store so far and it seems im going to have a struggle on the bath side of things. A lot seem to be 170cm long but my room is only 165cm

Any ideas of good places to look ? Im not in any rush maybe worth waiting for the Jan sales ? Do you get good bargains at that sort of time ?

I would look anywhere other than the two you mention, is you want cheap and cheerful you can get three piece suite from £200 on ebay or local plumbers merchants.Includes taps and waste.

When we did our bathroom up we got rid of the bathtub and opted for a decent sized shower. Has proved highly successful and the way we look at it is that if we come to sell the house, we'll reduce the price by a few thousand to enable the purchaser to get one installed.

We did the opposite. Had a large walk in shower for fifteen years then one day woke up and decided we missed having a bath. Couldn't be bothered removing the boxing in for the pipes so opted for fitting a tiny four foot tub into the gap where the shower cubicle was.
Its OK for a short, slightly cramped soak but breaststroke is impossible.
