Buying a car online?

Anyone have any experience / knowledge of of this ?

I like a car i've seen on auto trader, looks great good price but was dismayed that the car is over 200 miles away and can be delivered ! bloody typical ..lol
My cousin has bought a car like this and i personally think he's been very lucky .

I haven't done the hpi / and other checks yet. i thought id checkout what you clever chaps think first.
I am trying to keep the price down and looking for older cars, so they're possib.ly more likely to have some "issues" 15 plate area i was thinking.

I once ordered and bought a Ford Shelby Mustang online. Matt black. Mint condition. It even came boxed up!

If it’s from a dealer, it’s covered under the distance selling regs giving you 14 days to choose whether to keep the car or not, and arrange a return. Drive it back and train home, could be a cheap couple of weeks hire all in?!

Some dodgy dealers out there , friend bought a car , turned out it had no cat , exhaust was straight thru , he managed to claim thru insurance so wasn’t out of pocket.
If you use dealers get a verification of address and ownership .
