Yes, not really like rats cause they are good in tunnels. He didn't breach the law by criticising jews/zionists, he fell foul by reposting an image comparing them to rats.

Strictly speaking the rat symbol was used against Jews in Germany, and that is why it is antiSemitic when used against Jews.I too support Linekers stand, he accepted he was in the wrong and apologised.

The tweet or whatever it was that Lineker reposted was used against Zionists.
To use a rat symbol to symbolise Zionists is only as bad as using the same symbol against immigrants. An image that I suspect has been created in this forum before now.
If it's racist to use an image of rats to symbolise Zionists, it must be equally racist to use that image to symbolise immigrants.

I think we know your stance on the subject. It seems to be the kind of racism you applaud. That wasn't mbk's argument.
He claimed that antiZionism is antiSemitic. It isn't.
I support Lineker's stand. Sometimes financial interest is trumped by moral principles.

The case you quoted is completely irrelevant.Mbk misinterprets the ruling, again:

Employment Tribunal rules that anti-Zionist beliefs are protected under Equality Act
Being anti-Zionist qualifies as a philosophical belief and a protected characteristic under section 10 of the Equality Act, an employment tribunal has found. It was ruled in February that Professor David Miller was unfairly discriminated against when he was dismissed by the University of Bristwww.scottishlegal.com
If anti-Zionism is protected, then Zionism cannot be protected as a characteristic.

Debunking the myth that anti-Zionism is antisemitic | Peter Beinart
The long read: All over the world, it is an alarming time to be Jewish – but conflating anti-Zionism with Jew-hatred is a tragic mistakewww.theguardian.com
AntiZionism is antiSemitic according to Jews. Anti Israel is antiSemitic according to Jews.
But that is like arguing that any criticism of Hamas is islamophobic, and includes all Arabs, or all Muslims.
It is acceptable to criticise Israel, and to criticise the Zionist belief.
Only being Jewish is a protected characteristic.
There's your problem.I think we know .....
You make a bland rebuttal without any supporting argument. The case you quoted is completely irrelevant.
Thank you for finally actually admitting you don’t give a monkeys about the innocent Palestinians killed in Gaza.Boohoo. There you go, will that do ya?
I said "Boohoo" didn’t I? What more would you like me to say?Thank you for finally actually admitting you don’t give a monkeys about the innocent Palestinians killed in Gaza.
The phrase “Boohoo” is a mocking imitation of another's tearsI said "Boohoo" didn’t I? What more would you like me to say?
Then I must have been mocking yours for the innocent unarmed civilians attending a festival on October 7th. You did express tears of sympathy for those, didn’t you?The phrase “Boohoo” is a mocking imitation of another's tears

BBC has a code of conduct which requires impartiality - Bristol University did not.You make a bland rebuttal without any supporting argument.
Not really a discussion, is it?
More like a child's "Yes, it is, No it isn't" ping-pong.![]()
It should be quite easy for you to find any posts of Notch's that support your allegation. Then I must have been mocking yours for the innocent unarmed civilians attending a festival on October 7th. You did express tears of sympathy for those, didn’t you?
