The fact remains Lineker accepted that his "zionism explained in 2 mins [featuring a rat] post" was spreading hate and deeply offensive.

Lineker is a civilised and intelligent person If he unintentionally offended someone, he's done the decent thing, he's apologised and retracted the offending comment/repost.
If you now make his actions as a supportinga rgument that antiZionism is antiSemitic, you'd better provide some proof that Linieker has suddenly become an expert on racism.We know he's an expert on football, but I'm guessing that's as far as his expertise stretches. Certainly he's no more of an expert than a Scottish tribunal.

The rat symbol is more than just a casual reference, it links to historic Nazi propaganda against jews. If you defend, justify, expand, support the post, you condone the hatred. You cannot be against racism, if you are happy to ignore some forms of it.

Zionism is a political movement. It is not racist to object to a political party. Otherwise practically every contributor on this forum would be considered a racist.
