would it be right to have my c/u & mains coming from a pantry from a bathroom or should i brick it up n make a new door in the landing.

Crafty- The post title gives a clue

c/u in pantry to old kitchen which is to be a new bathroom

Although it could be argued that the pantry is a separate room to the new bathroom, it's not prudent to have power near water, or to have to rustle through the bathroom in the dark when the house juice or a lighting circuit goes.

I'd go with the access being moved and a door in to a common easy access area such as the hall / landing. It the area is big enough, it makes sense since such rooms become the house dump for ironing board, hoover etc..

I didn't understand the question either. Does it mean

1) the CU is in a room which wil becomes a bathroom;

or does it mean

2) the CU will be in a room adjacent to a bathroom,

2(a) and access to the second room is only through the bathroom?

I can only assume the latter of the two. There's nothing I'm aware of that would stop you from dhaving your CU in a room adjacent to the bathroom, but as already mentioned, it wouldn't be practical or convenient and effectively wastes the room if there is no other access.
