hi,
i have several standard kitchen cabinets which will have 4-5cm of decorative polystyrene mouldings stuck on (don't ask why!) making the cabinet doors effectively 6-7cm thick.

Does anyone know of a cabinet hinge that can open with doors this thick?

thanks

Standard kitchen hinges will work assuming you have room to open them, if not then nothing will work.

If it's a lay on/concealed hinge your looking for, none that I know of. If on the other hand the hinge can be "butt" hinged mounted, then you are looking at a long flap hinge, mind you that would stick out a bit when the door was closed, perhaps not what you want?
So your looking at a specific crank hinge, bent to suit both door and post/carcase. The bend on the door side flap would have to be long enough to protrude beyond the door/polystyrene moulding and the post/carcase flap cut/bent to suit.
Are the doors lay on or flush?? ...pinenot

:)

thanks,
the pivot point of the hinge can be outside the cabinet rather than hidden inside as with typical cabinet hinges. Do you have a picture/link of a crank hinge?
