Cable for a room stat

What size cable do I need for a room stat?
Its for the combi boiler and will be no more than 8 meters long.
The stat is a Honeywell ST200.
Am I right i thinking 1.5 will be adequate?

is the room stat directly switching a 15A load?
1.0 will be fine I should think.. it's only a switch cable..

I assume you mean the DT200?
Standard 2 core + earth 1.0mm/1.5mm will be fine.

Why would the stat be switching a 15amp load? Its a combi.

Doesn't the honeywell have an anticipator, if it does you will need 3 cores & earth.

The DT200 doesn't.
It takes two AA batteries.
Only two connections on stat, A and B
