cable routing

hi all
i a comercial spark moving into domestic
wondering if anyone can advise on routing and zones on cabling for upstairs ring and lighting, ie getting cable from downstairs consumer unit.
to the upstairs. its a concrete house and all work is being chaised. i am assuming that it will be taken under the stairs but would be grateful for any info /advice

But heads-up, it all changes in the 17th - AIUI all concealed cables need RCD protection, but I've only got the draft 17th, not the real thing. There are a couple of recent articles in Wiring Matters about them.

In my house I've given up trying to get the cables up via the understairs cupboard into the landing void, and for the next round of alterations I'm going to install some 75x100 (ish) glavanised trunking (earthed) on the end edge of a stud wall, and then box it in and paper/paint over it so it won't show.
