Hi All, I am plumbing a new radiator in and have found two blanked off spurs off the main radiator circuit in exactly the right place. Unfortunately this means both pipes head straight towards an existing notch in the nearest joist which(here's the electric link) is already bieng used for three electric cables. Is there a minimum distance or a way of insulating the two from each other which conforms to the regulations?

any help gladly received

More from a structural than an electrical POV, there are maximum sizes and minimum distances for holes and notches cut in joists. That may also influence the seperation of the services.

thanks for that. It doesn't really mention separating heating pipes and electric cables. Will have to try and insulate them from each other for peace of mind. cheers
