My kitchen extractor fan is currently wired as below. Just checking it’s ok. Distance from cooker switch to fcu is very short (about 150mm). Fcu is 3amp.
I assumed the change in cable size should happen after the fcu. It would be tricky to change as no way 2 lots of 6mm are fitting into the switch terminals and not sure I’d get it all in the box even if I find a different switch. Could probably manage 2.5mm.
Spurring from the socket circuit would also be tricky now although perhaps just about doable.
A quick search shows either different opinion on the matter or results that don’t quite match my situation.
