Anyone know where I can get the cable that Virgin media use for there broadband and telephone?
Its seems to be a thick black cable for the broadband and then has a think telephone line bonded to it.

I’m curious why you need it? If not simply to extend a current run from A TO B?

If it’s to connect to virgin cable or repair or extend and you do not have the other correct tools to crimp and connect then don’t touch it you will cause more problems than fix.

You should not change or patch the Virgin cable, It is a specific type made for their network. If you use the wrong cable or wrong connectors it will affect your service and/or your neighbours who are on the same street cabinet. If the cable is changed in length it may need different settings inside the cabinet.

You will see cables advertised on ebay etc that are claimed to be the same, but they are not.
Virgin will come and replace or extend any of your cables for a fixed fee of £99.

Don't pay Virgin any money for a job like this -- they have enough off you every month as it is.

If you're extending the length from the socket to the box (so you can move your box), then buy a longer length quality cable with the F-type connectors on. It's better to do this rather than using inline connectors and junction boxes.
