Cabling to external sounder box.

I am having the front of my house cladded, and with a view to having an alarm fitted and maybe cctv wondered if the external sounder or camera needed a 240 v mains supply provided as well as 8 wire alarm cable. Obviously would like to prewire these before cladding.

An alarm sounder needs low voltage alarm cable.

A cctv camera could need RG59 co-axial cable with a 12Vdc /24Vac or 240Vac supply. Or you could use a PoE IP camera that only needs a CAT5 cable.

If you make the cable run fairly straight, you could install a piece of string now and use it to pull the appropriate cable(s) through later
