Scantronic 9800 external sounder

Hi
I have just replaced my battery in the main control tested the internal pir via a walk through test panel code and my external sounder via the strobe test code. All worked fine but when I set the alarm and enter the house although the internal sounders go off the external bell box neithe flashe's or sounds. Any help would be greatly appreciated

If you a triggering a zone on entry route the alarm will sound after the entry timer has expired(2ply entry time)
Trigger a zone that is not on a entry route and see if sounder works?
