Caliper bolts sheared (Ed.)

I’m changing my rear brake pads and disks on my merc e-class 2014 and have sheared the calliper bolts. I can’t get the broken half out. Looking for help asap please!

Very bad luck......these bolts suffer from electrolytic corrosion, have locking compound on the threads and are very tight.
I very much doubt if you'll shift them now, and I'd be investigating a replacement hub here unfortunately.
I don't think any extractor would work here.
Heat is essential here when trying to shift these!

There's nothing to lose by trying to weld a big nut over that. That would be my first choice.
 
As above, the heat from the welding often breaks the corrosion and thread lock that's holding the bolt tight and allows it to undo. Simplest and cheapest poss solution as it can be done in situ.

 
Try putting a nut on remaining thread and then tack weld the inside of the nut.

There's nothing to lose by trying to weld a big nut over that. That would be my first choice.

That was my first thought too but we are all assuming the OP has welding gear to hand. I suspect he doesn’t and it would mean getting the car to somewhere that has. Difficult when you have a brake calliper that you can’t refit.
 
Maybe if the OP has a plumbers gas torch and they could get a good grip on the remaining stud with some vice grips and could heat the calliper bracket sufficiently, they may be able to work the studs back and forth until they became loose. Failing that it’s drill, tap out and fit a helicoil or threaded insert.

That would be how I would tackle it - the heat, from the electric welder, will also expand the remaining bit of thread, loosening it as it cools.
 
No reply from the OP as to whether he has the equipment, and experience, to attempt the repair needed.

Replacement hub may be easier and quicker.
 
I was referring to all the other bolts that will need removing to replace the hub bearing carrier.
