Hi. Need some advice before contacting an electrician.

Just got my first shop and i want to get a shower added to my beauty room.
we have a wylex 11way split load consumer unit 100 amp main and 80 amp rcd . the rcd has 4 off 32 amp mcbs and the 100amp side has 4off 6 amp mcbs .

the 32 amp mcbs run 2off 6 kw wash units and 2off ring mains the other 6amp do the lighting.

It looks to me that its already overloaded (all works ok)

do i need another supply (meter)

Everything could be used at once

Any advise would be welcome.
Cheers mark

Using diversity suggests you are over the limit already.

what uses power is not circuits or MCBs but loads.

you mention 2 6kW units (are these some kind of water heater?)

what other loads you you have?

electric heating? Air con? immersion heater? tanning cabinet? cooker?

no doubt you have the sense to save electricity by using energy-saving lamps, but what other lamps do you have?

It depends what's on your ring mains, but I would doubt you're overloaded. Best thing, if you think you're tight to your maximum demand level, is to measure your load with a kW meter (get an electrician to do it for you when he quotes for the shower).
