Can anyone tell me what is causing this?

I suspect this is some sort of damp problem but I don't really know. It's in my kitchen and the other corner looks similar like the bead is rusting and pushing the plaster away It's an external wall (cavity wall I believe). I don't even know what trade to ask to look at this. Any ideas? IMG_4086.JPG

plasterer . rusty mesh bead. hate them.
Is that damp or just a shadow?
 
I think that's just shadow. Does this just happen in a place like a kitchen or is it an indication of a bigger problem?

it’s usually moisture in the wall that ruins them but not always. could be just moisture in the air. It looks like a mesh bead, which rust for fun.
It can be cut out and replaced or cut out and filled and sanded back square.
