Hi its my first time on here so if i do things wrong please forgive me.

We need to insulate a solid wall without losing to much of the room. We would like to know whether we can glue cellotex to the exsiting wall then plaster board ontop of that. Has anybody done it and can it be done?

I think Celotex recommends holding up Celotex GA3000 with battens then attaching plasterboard to battens. Have a look at the Celotex data sheet. The battens give you a reflective service void. A 19mm reflective void has an R-value of about 0.644 (from Reflectatherm foil), which is equivalent to about 15mm of Celotex - so you're only losing 4mm by having battens but don't have to pay for 15mm of Celotex.
