Hello one and all

My question is simple can I dot and dab to my chimney breast when I have a wood burring stove.. If so what plaster board should I use...

If I can not dot and dab could I fix some sort of frame to the chimney breast which I could then fasten plaster board to

Any help would be great...

Regards
Chris

Im lost if you and dab a chimney breast you'd used fire board for a start..
And use a straight edge and level to plumb it up and keep it flat..
you can use batons fixed the breast then use packers to plumb up and square it all up then tack on your fire board..
you can get fire cement for the inside maybe an option!!!!

noooo dnt use board even a fireline board, yes it will take higher heats for longer but it will only take it once and thats ya lot and the dabs wnt be up to the job either.
sand cement lime backing and victas plaster to finish, i dnt know about other people but i dnt use beads for these either as they are subject to expansion and contraction
