Can I install a night latch on multipoint lock doors?

Hi
I have a pretty solid wooden doors with a multipoint lock mechanism. It is all about 15 years old I would say but looks solid. Can I easily install a night latch on these doors or am I in danger of damaging the multipoint lock system? From the outside the system looks similar to this one:

Please use simple language with me as I dont know all the technical terminology

As long as you get a night latch that doesn't have any part of it fixed to the doors leading edge and that you fit the latch in between the locking mechanisms (the bulky areas in your pic) it should be fine.
