Can I mix matt emulsion with something to turn it into eggshell?

Hi,

I have a large quantity of matt emulsion in a special hue that is not sold in any other finish. Since I want to paint some woodwork with it, I was wondering if there's anything I can mix it with to turn it into eggshell (or gloss, perhaps)? Someone mentioned pva/wood glue - anyone have experience of doing this? Thanks!

You could use a waterbased clear eggshell varnish over the top. I wouldn't recommend it though. Emulsion over woodwork always looks awful and it will be prone to chipping.

Sorry, I would suggest that you pop down to your local decorators' merchants and get the paint scanned.
