Hi all,

In our new place we have this fake wall built up which has a recess for a TV. A precious occupant did this.

I absolutely hate it as I feel the TV is too high. So when sat I am looking up and I just can't take it anymore!

My options and questions are:

1) Take TV off wall and put on the stand - but could this big hole be covered up so it's seamless? I don't want to knock the entire fake wall out as it's massive and also adds food sound insulation from next door

2) move the hole down - would be ridiculously pricey probably and just doesn't seem feasible to me. If I ever did this I'd want a bigger TV. The one there now is 55, but I'd prefer a bit bigger

Can anyone advise as my TV viewing enjoyment is extremely impaired

Just needs boarding and skimming but if me I would skim whole wall as blending is more hassle
