Can I re-use bricks from old extension to build new?

Advice pls! I am new to forum and about to knock down old extension (subsidence) to lay new foundations and re-build extension afterwards. I'd like to re-use the bricks so that they match rest of house. Can anyone advise on the best way to demolish old building and clean up bricks for re-use. Red brick (25yrs old) cement mortar. Much obliged K.

Avoid breaking them, and remove the old mortar.

We're not being flippant (well we are actually) but there is no easy way I'm afraid. However if you can't re-use the bricks there are brick matching services available. Good luck

expect 25% throw outs, if you're lucky.

Id guess using something like a small kango would give you the best chance of not damaging many of the bricks during the demolition process(kango out the mortar beds)...but it will be tedious work.
