Hi (first time poster here)

I want to insulate my loft and add a simple floor for storage.

It would make the project much easier if I could remove these very thin vertical timbers. I'm not sure if they're doing anything structural? There's no tension in them at all. They are quite wobbly to the touch. Please see the attached pictures.

So would it be safe to remove them?

thanks in advance

EDIT not having much luck attaching images to this post.

They are there to hold the ceilings up bellow but you do not normally see them so close to the centre of the roof, if you have wall underneath then I would say you can remove them, the centre ones I am talking about.
