I have a push fit stop end on the end of an old rad intake (the rad is no longer there).

Is there any way to repair this without having to drain the entire system? Maybe some plumber's mait, or does this need the surface to be dry?

Is it leaking?

You'll need to replace the stop end. Draining the system needn't be a huge deal if you shut all the radiators off first. Alternatively, use a freezing kit if there's room on the pipe.
