Can I run one radiator without TRV valve.

In my house, radiator in a room was going off after a hour of heating. So I removed TRV valve from that radiator, so it is properly heating up now.

In safety-wise, is it safe to run a radiator without TRV valve?

I have attached a pic, any suggestions would be appreciated.

I removed the TRV from the radiator in the room in which we have our thermostat. I believe that it's best not to have both a room thermostat and a TRV in the same room.
