At the moment i am in the process of decorating our hall way and landing and have removed the radiator for the time being, this radiator has no TRV fitted but as the nights and mornings are starting to get a little colder i am being told by the boss that she wants the heating back on. Can i still run the heating with this rad off our do i need to reconnect it before running the heating.

Cheers for the quick reply John, i was just a bit uncertain as every where i have checked states that this radiator without the TRV has to be left on all the time for flow round the system.

Remove a TRV head from another radiator, one that you don't mind running continuously when the heating is on.

Thanks James, as all the rest of the radiators will be running continuously whilst the heating is on is their any need to remove any of the TRV from any radiator.

The TRVs will close if the room gets warm enough as that's what they're designed to do, so they're in no way continuous. Removing one will ensure it never does.
