I am fitting a log burner with twin wall flue. If i have 1m vertical from top of the stove, then horizontal through brick cavity outside wall, then 3m vertical on the outside, will the horizontal section affect the draw up the chimney? Or should i go through wall at 45deg?

If it was a gas boiler you are not allowed horizontal sections of flue.

I would expect the same limitation would apply to a wood fire.

You don't mention flue size or terminal position?

Based on pipe and fittings resistance for a 125mm diameter flue pipe and an allowance of 0.5 metres of horizontal run through wall the equivalent height would calculate @ 3.3 metres which would be fine.............150mm diameter flue would calculate to 2.36 metres equivalent height so also not an issue.

Sometimes it's good to think outside the box. :D
