my central heating pump has stopped working. its a unit5 model number u5c252. what would be the best replacement to go for ?

thankyou

Assuming you have a conventional system, I think pumps are usually standard fitment. Grundfos are reputed to be the best. I have a Wilo that has been happily doing its job since December 1999 on a Y plan system.

thwe boiler just supplies the heating i dont have hot water from it. i have 6 radiators thats all. what sort of grundfoss would be best and what sort of price am i looking at? i have about seventy five pounds to spend.
thankyou

There's basically two models for domestic use, usually about £10 difference. The dearer one will be for a 6 metre head and the other for a 5 metre head.
A 6 metre head Grondfus in B & Q will be £80 and the same one at Screwfix is £15 cheaper. but do you need to pump that high.

Grundfos 15-50 5m head Screwfix part no. 57506 £60
Wilo equivalent 5m head Screwfix part no. 43223 £36
Wlio Smart pump Screwfix part no. 33590 £45

Any of these should suffice, however Grundfos is probably the better bet, funds permitting. They are all 130mm port to port, 1.5" BSP fittings.

Don't buy cheap iso valves or pump as you have to drain down two or even three floors again to service. Good parts, job done!
