We have 3 "Pairs" of these units upstairs. They are the type that flip inside out for cleaning purposes.

All three show the same symptoms where they rub and collide with the frame when closing. This makes for a very creaky and stiff closure of the locks, some of the locking pins have already sheared off. My fear is that one day they'll all have to be replaced.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Chances are they are reaching the end of their life bloody heavy things to mess with! I would contact a local glazier not one of the nationwide companies who just want to sell new ones and get them to look at them.
We are lucky as we have a couple of good local companies who will repair things but no good to you I'm afraid in Stirlingshire!;)
