Hi all - I'm preparing a room for a new skim, which will be undertaken by a pro.
The walls were originally adorned with two layers of wallpaper (now removed - along with cornice and skirting boards), leaving behind the original peach coloured paint (which is flaking in areas), and some sort of skim. All four walls of the room are masonry, and pictures enclosed for ref.

The asks:
- I'm struggling to figure out what are our options/what our next steps would be? -- Would a plasterer be able to re-skim the walls in their current condition, or would we need to take it back to the cement render underneath?
- Is there a need for me strip the walls of the (flaky) peach paint?
