Can you change the colour of a decking oil

Got some 5ltr tins of Screwfix 'Pine' decking oil which I got sometime ago in a good deal.

I use it around the garden not only on the decking and found it good.

What can I add to change its colour for a darker shade as none of the stock shades are dark enough for what I'm trying achieve.

Someone mentioned about using a small tin oil paint of the colour near as I want and mix it in. ?

I've use "Colron" and similar spirit-based wood dyes (they smell of mothballs) on timber before oiling it. Not the water-based dye which is rubbish.

It mixes with white spirit and Cuprinol clear (I know that because they wash it off the brushes) but not with oil (I use linseed boiled).

how long ago ??
is it water based ??
was it fully protected against frost as in not outdoors in the cold or in a shed with some sort off heating every few days to keep above say plus 5 within the mass off the tub

I still use an old bottle of boiled linseed oil ...

linseed oil is not effected greatly by frost as its a fairly pure simple oil

Oil is not water based. ?? Won't mix with water based products.
Kept in garage adjoining house.
