First day of British summertime and it’s been sunny but cold this morning and right now, for the second time this morning, it’s gone all dark and started snowing!

Yes I was out on the Hills of Harlow this sunny morning then a bit of snow

I think as citizens of the UK we are dealing with this all rather calmly.

Can you imagine if this was killing children instead of pensioners in the main.

It would be a completely different story.
The economic mess left in the wake of this virus will itself take a toll on the young. A deep recession will plunge many into poverty for many years to come, and poverty has major negative impact on peoples health and early death.

If the US continue with their let it burn strategy whilst protecting their economy - I wonder who will come out best a few years down the line?

Just for clarity, I tend to think we are taking the right approach, but then again I am not overwhelmingly convinced that we are.

The govt, I think were slow to react, were distracted by herd immunity discussions and didnt act early enough to get supplies ordered.

However, theyve done as well as anybody could do over the last 2 weeks.
I think criticism of the ecomonic support details is unfair, its been so fast moving, the package of measures has been worked out pretty well.

Lets say the Pensioners where the super carriers and the Children had to isolate for 3 months.

Incredible statement.

Next you'll be telling us that the old and frail are dying because of their age and weakness and not the virus. Well done Sherlock.

In Bodds defence, my stepson read the same story in the Guardian.
When he tried to find it on my wife's PC it said it had been withdrawn pending investigation.
Don't know what the latest is on that particular story.

I get that there was a story out there, but I have not seen the content. My dig was that the girl died of a heart attack - possibly brought about by Covid19. People are dying not necessarily because of respiratory problems, symptomatic of the disease, but also with other fatal bodily breakdowns such as cardiac arrest, brought about by the disease.

Hence my snipe.

4000 people die a day from TB

1200 from malaria

But because it does not crash the economy or disrupt cruises or skiing holidays

No one gives a s**t

And what would you say to me if I come out with the above?

Clue:
Pants on fire

I think this poor young girl died of a heart attack and not the Virus

All of my posts criticising boddggdd were before any posts referring to the guardian story.
I don't lie.
