I am installing a full size washing machine with dryer stacked on top over a vinyl floor. It will have to be pulled out every fall to winterize it. Can I install it on casters to allow it to be pulled out without hurting the vinyl?

Doubt it, I would suspect with all that weight that any wheel would sink into vinyl & jam up. Plus moving 2 machines stacked together would appear to me to be potentially very unsafe.

do not under any circumstances put wheels on a washing machine it will turn into a battering ram

bummer. Do you have any other potential solutions? Can I install it on a metal sheet and pull that out?

US appliances are bigger and heavier than European ones (this is a UK website)

I put mine on an accessory you can buy here called an "appliance trolley". It is a steel frame, adjustable for size, with rollers (not casters) which have brakes you can set when it is in position. It only adds about 35mm to the height of the appliance.

I would not want to move a tower of one appliance on top of another.

If you have a vinyl floor the feet or wheels will probably settle into an indentation, or stick, and be very difficult to move. You can put a metal sheet on the floor under it - something rustproof. If you spray it with WD40 it will slide easier.

We don't know what winterising is.
